Wedding happen

Before I wrote about the issue about the venue. Well we didn’t get the one in the church. It’s considerable to choose clubs. Just to mention we get married in uk- scotland. We decide to look at clubs. One of them was football club but was reserved on our wedding date. We or more my husband find bawling club. Beer cheap £3.40 considering normally it’s £4,50. They charge only for using kitchen £25 and for DJ £120. Nothing for the place. I am polish on the wedding in Poland different story- I will write another time. We plan something in Poland later.

Back to issue we rented this venue allow us decorate on the day. Use kitchen, I hire two students to put food in the oven. We get married on end of February and if I am honest I start buying food, snacks in December. I decide to buy turkey and beef frozen from Christmas section – cheap in lidl aldi, or if you have big freezer buy after Christmas when it’s on sale – good till June July , can use it them. We did baked potatoes, parsnip, beff and turkey. Simple Sunday dinner for 28 people. Cost £100.

I bought as well plenty of snacks after Christmas on sale – so like crackers, tortillas, cakes like pantenone , cranberry, gravy powder and jar. Believe me it’s on sale 50-70% of retail price valid till March- June. Depending when you are getting married it’s possible to get it. I spend on that like £60. And now as we used maybe 1/3 of it in Coronavirus lick down we eat all snacks and enjoy. About another snacks I decide to go to food warehouse in uk. It’s frozen Iceland- but bigger packs. I order Christmas snacks packs like 50 chicken nuggets, 30veggie samosas, 70 prawn snacks, they have as well 60 mini donuts, 50 cakes collection, each £5 so spend another £50 and have snacks for buffet. Buy to much and left me to many but possible. As I don’t have freezer the manager was really helpful and keep food in their freezer for 3 months so I didn’t have to worry. So worth looking into it.

On the venue we gave voucher to family for first drink and me to my family and whole together the bill was £250. Not bad.
